Marcy S. Wood is an avid traveller, writer and hiker. She has an MA in Creative Professional Writing from Denver University - UCOL as of June 2022. Her concentration is in fiction writing. Her professors deem her writing as exemplar literary pieces for all genres, with a particular strength on expressive lyrical prose.
As an accomplished group ex, yoga instructor and personal trainer, she has been working in the fitness industry since 1991. She earned a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Colorado, Boulder and has taught yoga at Corepower, the YMCA, Gold’s Gym as well as many independent studios. Marcy has earned her E-RYT (educator 1000+ hours) and has over 500 hours of yoga credentialing through various disciplines including Shiva Rea and the Shambhava School of Yoga. Marcy holds multiple certifications through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America, G.E.A.R., TRX, Bender Barre, Silver Sneakers, and physical therapist CEC through Postural Restoration™ and Functional Movement Screening™. Injury prevention is her highest priority and is kinesiology tape certified through ROCKTAPE™.
Marcy pursues personal well-being as a conscious effort to live healthy. A Boulder native, her family moved to Ouray in June of 2015, she loves hiking when not attending to her husband, three kids and as many pets.
